Il Reporter has been monitoring, watching, and reporting on the Watchdog activities across the state. They have become a hub of investigations and have a full staff of volunteers who contribute time to documenting, monitoring and reporting false news that is interfering in our local government and are harming people across the state. We have joined their fact check pages and will extract items they post on ECW and put them here. This page will list examples of stories they have written or blogged, and IL Reporters investigations into fact checking these claims.
These are fact checks on some of the articles posted on their website. The title is part of the title used in their stories.
IL Reporter Fact Check: This article of fake news. Norton did in fact file a suit, but it is NOT a bogus suit. It is alleging there was illegal court recordings taking place. That is a serious offense and subjected to jail time. It also alleges Brzana has never worn a wig. Fact check states that is Fake news. IL Reporter has an affidavit stating she admitted to working undercover for the ECW including wearing wigs and outfits for that line of work. Upon investigation, Norton has requested journalistic revoking of Kraft's status in courts, citing parody news doesn't qualify for journalistic protections allowing the use of recording devises in a court room.
IL Reporter Fact Check: This article is fake news. They posted the article without any proof that anything listed in the letter to the Mayor was fabricated. Therefore, you cannot state someone lied on something without stating what was a lie.
IL Reporter Fact Check: This article is fake news. Had they reported this case was settled for just fees, the article would have been accurate. The investigation found that a board member created insurgency at the meeting by bringing in others, to halt a vote on her being censured. One of her associates played really loud music and zoomed bombed the meeting, while ECW kept yelling they couldn't hear what was happening. The next day they sued for not being able to hear the meeting, and the board member responsible filed to overturn the censure. How does one sue her own board for not hearing when SHE was running the online zoom meeting (for the first time and for her own reasons).
WE NOTICE THIS AS AN INSURGENCY ALERT
IL Reporter Fact Check: This article is fake news. It is apparent by the numerous articles on this man that there is a personal grudge that have impacted their ability to see from a journalistic unbiased point of view in their reporting. The article is written from a scorned, bias, point of view that is not reflected close to anything factual that the courts are reporting.
IL Reporter Fact Check: This article is fake news. In this posting, they list the village ordinances which start with "the xxx shall". Shall in all policies and procedures is not a mandatory statement. A mandatory statement is "the xxx must". There are no rules being broken here and they have a right to chose their path based on the word "shall" not "must". They also imply the Mayor does not know his duties, but we find that the Mayor in fact knows his duties and is calling out people who think they know better then him.
IL Reporter Fact Check: This article is fake news. On advice from the attorney, the school district has taken active measures to secure confidential and classified information. Just because this group cannot get access to the confidential information does not give them the right to criticize it as call that journalism. Again, when a journalist cannot remain neutral to a story they need to pass the writing on to someone else or the writings will be fake news. It is disturbing that they call for the resignation of the elected officials for protecting confidential information. We, as real journalists, are grateful that confidential information was not leaked which would have subjected taxpayers to penalties, fines, and costs for these leaks which could be construed as espionage.
IL Reporter Fact Check: This article is fake news. All actions taken by the Board seem to be inline and appropriate. It is concerning that this group is stating things as fact and law when they are not attorneys nor well versed in these laws. This is seen in their court filings and losses. This is a parody opinion piece and not real reporting of a board meeting. It is filled with opinion on how they would have done things, but they are not elected officials.
IL Reporter Fact Check: This article is fake news. This article is written in pure opinion. It appears a ton of facts are left out of this article to paint this situation in a false light. It also appears that this board is under attack and they are fighting insurgency.
